Holiday Time!

We are now in the holiday season and many of us will be enjoying the break. As a result there will be no meeting of the River Fellowship on the 30th of July. The next meeting will be on the 13th of August. We will continue our fortnightly pattern following this. We hope you all have a great time on your own holidays and enjoy God's blessing and refreshing. We look forward to catching up with you all in August.

Easter Celebration

This weekend we will be celebrating Easter. Several different events are planned.
On Friday, members of the group will be giving away free bunches of flowers in the village. This is to celebrate new life and also that God's gift of this life is free to those who ask - through the death and coming to life again of his Son Jesus.
On Saturday at 6.30pm in the Scout Hall we will be looking at the Easter story further - using material produced by J. John. Some will remember similar material used to great success at Christimas.
On Sunday,  we meet for our Easter service at the River Dee (at the far end of Rhu-na-Haven Road) at 9am. Click the Recent Posts button to find the Google map for the exact location. This service will last for approximately 30mts and will be followed by coffee and bacon rolls in the Scout Hall. This will be followed by a short Communion Service.
We would love to have you join us at any of the above events - to celebrate, worship, socialise and learn more about this most important, exciting event!
Also a reminder - Mini Clan is almost here (see previous entry) - remember to get your tickets!

Exciting News for Deeside

Mini-CLAN on Deeside

The churches of Banchory Ternan West, Glen Muick Ballater, River Fellowship Aboyne and Banchory Devenick and Maryculter Cookney have come together to host a Christian event in Deeside this coming April. This event is called Mini-CLAN as it is run under the auspices of CLAN (Christians Linked Across the Nation) which is part of New Wine Scotland. Information on the aims and ethos of CLAN can be found on its website clangathering.org.uk.

CLAN organises a national week-long event in July each year, but the main aim of their Mini-CLAN events (local weekend events) is to build up the church in the local area.

  • The Deeside Mini-CLAN will take place on FRIDAY 29 APRIL (evening) and SATURDAY 30 APRIL (morning and evening) in BANCHORY ACADEMY. The main speakers will be Kevin Pete and Andy Hall, with worship led by David Ross and friends. The date is easy to remember as it is the same weekend as the Royal Wedding.
  •

We encourage everyone to come and be part of this event, the speakers messages will be geared towards those who already attend church, with the intention of building the Church up - encouraging and equipping us  to do God’s work in this area. This is  also a fantastic opportunity to experience worship as  part of a large Christian gathering.
