Easter!

This weekend (7th/8th April) we will be celebrating Easter.
Several different events are planned.
On Saturday members of the group will be giving away free chocolate bars and palm crosses in the village. This is to celebrate new life and also God's free gift of life to those who ask - through the death and coming to life again of his Son Jesus.
On Saturday at 6.30pm in the Scout Hall we will be looking at the Easter story further in various different ways including worship music .
On Sunday, we meet for our Easter service at the River Dee (at the far end of Rhu-na-Haven Road) at 9am. Click the Recent Posts button to find the Google map for the exact location. This service will last for approximately 30mts and will be followed by coffee and bacon rolls in the Scout Hall. This will be followed by a short Communion Service.
We would love to have you join us at any of the above events - to celebrate, worship, socialise and learn more about this most important, exciting event!
Happy Easter!

Wednesday meetings on the lead up to Easter - come and learn more about the celebration!

Why Jesus?
Was he a hero, a headliner, a dreamer, the underdog, a revolutionary or just a good man?
Is he of any relevance today?    Does the Easter story have any meaning for you today?
On the lead up to this Easter these questions and many more will be explored on Wednesday evenings in the Boat Inn, Aboyne.
These informal get-togethers are free and open to all adults. A short DVD will generate each weeks discussions. Join in or just sit and listen.
Purchase your drink from the bar and we will supply the nibbles.

Holiday Time!

We are now in the holiday season and many of us will be enjoying the break. As a result there will be no meeting of the River Fellowship on the 30th of July. The next meeting will be on the 13th of August. We will continue our fortnightly pattern following this. We hope you all have a great time on your own holidays and enjoy God's blessing and refreshing. We look forward to catching up with you all in August.
